During this yoga asana workshop moderate physical effort is encouraged in a mindful way, to focus the mind and safely build strength and flexibility. At first the poses may seem challenging but in time and with practice they may become achievable. All that is required is a open mind and a willingness to cultivate the correct attutude to practice; honouring the body. On occasion stepping out of your comfort zone to face challenges and on other occasions knowing when to have the humility to meet yourself where you’re at in order to, even as an adult, learn new things about yourself and move towards a wholeness of experience.
Although the basics – a yoga mat and a blanket – are provided, it is suggested that you bring any equipment you may have; yoga blocks, bricks, belts, eye pillows or bolsters as the right prop can sometimes make all the difference. (If you’re unsure bring it anyway!).
