Our responsibilities/ impact / CSR activities
Here at Soul Happy as well as creating a positive impact with making people feel good, we believe its important to tread lightly on the earth and to be a responsible organisation – environmentally and socially too. So as we grow, we will be measuring our impact to become more efficient as a business, and acting very responsibly, whilst giving back where possible.
Talking of being sustainable, our ‘green vision’ is to be Carbon Neutral as an organisation. This is a long term goal, but a great one that all businesses should be ultimately striving for. This means that the carbon we use in our organisation (gas, electricity and other fuels), will be reduced where possible (helping us be more efficient), and we will offset the rest! The carbon offsetting to become carbon neutral will mainly be achieved through credible tree and shrub planting, giving our world more oxygen and less pollution.

Soul Happy also promises to – where possible:
Reduce, reuse and recycle
This includes only ordering what we need, using our resources correctly (Printing on both sides, using extra paper as scrap paper, and using left over water for plants), and having an effective recycling system.
Purchase organic, toxic free, local and low impact products.
This includes purchasing FCS Certified paper, using organic certified oils and creams for our customers, as well as using local suppliers (including local and/or organic fruit and veg for our workshops).
Responsible staff and good green behaviour.
It’s not just one persons job to help an organisation be greener and more sustainable. We all have a part to play. All staff and contractors at Soul Happy (AKA our wellbeing tribe) already embody our wellbeing vision and good values, and so as part of our green vision and mission, all our tribe will also have environmental inductions and training to not only understand sustainability, but to ‘be the change’ we need to see in our world too.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – giving back.
As well as our staffs commitments, wellbeing policies, and environmental aims (see above), we will also be putting back into the community where possible too. Being a not for profit Social Enterprise means that we exist to serve our customer and community where possible and the surplus we make only enables us to do more for our people and community too. We will run monthly/weekly meditation workshops, litter picks, and ‘Pay it Forward’ activities within our workshops. We will be running flash mob meditations and free therapy taster sessions at relevant festivals and events too, plus more! Watch this space.
